Bored with the online races, Bruninho was looking for more interesting activities. One day, he was invited by Leandro Trocado to know the F46 Kart Racing, an excellent amateur kart group, which competes in kart tracks around the Rio de Janeiro state and when possible, outside the state too. It was the mood injection that he needed to continue racing in any form.
Around 2009, he debuted in F46 OPEN, a division for invited and inexperienced racers, obtaining inconsistent results, however it was after a race at Volta Redonda where he finished fourth, that he was convinced and jumped into this adventure, just not to drop it out. He made new friends, learned new things, and he knew new places. Yes, he’s happy to be a part of a much competitive and united group.
A big fan of Jenson Button, he has in this british Formula One World Champion the example to keep making progress, and in 2010 he joins the F46 SEMI-PRO division, racing for Black &White. The long awaited first win came on the eight round of the championship, at Top Kart Extra Barra 24h, and Bruninho keeps fighting hard for his ultimate dream: Be a champion in 2011.
